24th June 1984.
This was the first time I saw Divine on stage. It was
the start of a short promotional tour for the release of "You
Think You're A Man". Myself and two friends went backstage afterwards
to interview him for our fanzine "Frame". He was surrounded
by empty McDonalds boxes, and surprised us all by being very soft
spoken and absolutely charming!
I showed Divine these photographs a week later and he errupted with
laughter, then screamed "My God, I look just like Diana Dors!"
